Sometimes inspiration is easy to find and other times it’s really tough. I’m sure, like me, most creatives use Pinterest as one of their sources of inspiration. Everyday life situations and needs that arise are also an obvious source of inspiration. But one that is so often underestimated is community. One source of inspiration that I’ve really been enjoying lately is the Cricut Family South Africa Facebook group. Many times, seeing the beautiful things that other people have made is enough to get me wanting to make something myself. For Cricut specific inspiration Design Space is also a great place to look. There are so many projects that are both ready-to-make and customizable.
I saw a similar version of these cute reindeer lollipop holders in the Facebook group and couldn’t resist making my own as our end of year classmate gifts. The design is based off an image that is part of Cricut Access in Design Space, which I edited to change the face shape. The Lindt ball versions will go to my daughter’s teachers and the lollipops to her friends. I love them so much!
This was a really great project to do with my daughter. We did it step by step over a few days, to keep it interesting. She loved having input into her friends little gifts and is so excited to give them out at the end of term. I kind of love her rough 4-year-old colouring in too.
