I’m going to let you in on a little secret today. It’s the easiest way to make homemade popcorn and is safe for the whole family to do. Popcorn is such a great healthy, high-fibre snack. Homemade popcorn also means you control what goes onto it once it’s popped. But cleaning the pot afterwards when you just want to sit down to watch your movie? Urgh, no one wants to do that! Well, now you won’t have to!
All you need is a brown paper bag, popcorn kernels and a microwave.
Pour some kernels into the bag, to cover the bottom in just one layer. Fold the top of the bag over a few times, to keep the popcorn inside.
Set microwave for 1,5 to 2 minutes. Stop when the popping gets further apart. Rather stop too soon than end up with burnt popcorn. You can always try again with the un-popped kernels.
What’s your favourite healthy snack?

I actually do this in a pyrex bowl: cover the bottom with a layer of popcorn, put on the lid and put into microwave for 3 minutes. Works beautifully!
