I love good gift packaging. While the gift is obviously the main thing, good packaging adds so much to the excitement of opening the gift. Being able to make your own custom gift packaging takes it up even another notch.
For a recent festive gift idea I made this gorgeous little acetate box with festive Christmas tree details around the sides. Pop some brightly coloured ribbon or tissue paper inside and you’ve get your packaging of a small gift ready to go.
You can see how I did the beautiful engraving for this necklace here.

Clear double sided tape
What to do
Open up the project in Design Space.
Resize the box image and Christmas trees if desired. Make sure it still fits within the 12″x12″ acetate sheet.
Remove the protective sheets from the acetate sheet and place on your mat.
Score and cut as per the instructions in Design Space.
Fold the box along the score lines and use small pieces of clear double sided tape to close the bottom flap.
Cut the Christmas trees and use the transfer tape to place them around the box.
That’s really all there is to it! Enjoy your box!
There are a variety of other box templates in Design Space too, some of which will not need the double sided transfer tape to keep them closed. A search for “box” in images will bring up a wide selection. That’s what I love about having Cricut Access! So much is available right at your fingertips.
