My sister-in-law recently hosted a baby shower and was looking for a craft idea that would be both entertainment and leave a keepsake for the baby-to-be. Still one of my top read blog posts is this one for DIY baby blocks. They make such a great baby shower craft idea, so we worked together on a boho baby block version, using my Cricut Maker. To make your own boho baby blocks use the Cricut project link below and follow the instructions from the baby blocks blog post. That’s the beauty of a smart cutting machine, it’s extremely easy to take an idea that you’ve done before and customize it to match what you’d like to do now.
I put the leftover sticker stencils to good use by making a few boho wooden peg dolls. Such a simple craft, but also a great way to bring a boho touch into your dollhouse.
Boho Wooden Peg dolls
What you need:
Wooden pegdolls (I used these ones)
Stencils cut from vinyl (Cricut Project Link here)
Paint
Clear varnish (optional)
What to do:
Open the Cricut project. For baby blocks cut out all the shapes, but for peg dolls cut out just the selection that you’d like to use, following the cutting steps on your Cricut machine.
For the rainbows, use a small piece of transfer tape to keep all the separate pieces together.
Stick the stencils to the peg dolls, remove any transfer tape and carefully paint the whole way around the doll. Once dry, remove the stencil. For a long lasting finish paint over the full peg doll with a clear varnish or sealer.
