Living close to the Kruger National Park is a treat. Having never been there before it was one of the things I was most excited for this year. Yesterday we slept in a little, went to the shops on the way and still made it in to Kruger by 11:30, had a decent slow drive to lower sabie and were out and on our way home before the gates closed. We have the whole year to explore so we were not in a huge rush to make sure that we started with an early morning drive.
We were super excited to see Rhino (and then ended up seeing different rhino 4 times during the day).
In true baboon style this fellow jumped into the back of a bakkie and decided that the stretch cord was now his.
When you see a traffic jam like this you know that there is something good. Unfortunately as we got to it the leopard which they were watching eat its kill jumped down from the tree and we missed it, by seconds!
