At least let’s make the keys cute! It was finally time to try cut LEATHER with my Cricut Maker and how great does it look! This little project really shows it’s versatility, straight from thick leather to detailed iron on vinyl with simply the change of a blade.

It feels so good to be posting actual blog posts again! Life, a pandemic, a baby and priority shifts really affected my creativity, but for now I’m loving the space again. Three significant things that have brought back the will to create are the dollhouse we bought from @tinydollhouse_za for Christmas, needing to adjust our family diet due to allergies and my new Cricut Maker from @thewholesalersa.

I decided to really test the full Cricut process for my first project, so I designed the pattern for this sweet bunny rattle, imported my own design and then cut the fabric in the Cricut Maker. And now I can cut as many as I want with just about the push of one button. Or.... you could, as I’ve shared all the files in the blog post. Link in my bio. There’s a PDF version too, if you don’t have a Cricut (yet😉) and a link to find all the South African retailers.

Fabric is from scrap packs bought from @zanaproducts. Such a great way to make small projects from designer fabric.

Hi, it’s me! And I got glasses 🤓 Well, technically I already had glasses, but they are about 15 years old, don’t do much and were clearly chosen by someone still in school (and not the cool kind of still in school).

You know how people say that you always look at yourself first in a photo? I totally do that! And am often wishing I was more photogenic. So when I had a few moments last week after taking some content photos I decided to practice. Easy to delete the 99% I don’t like and no one ever has to see them 😂 If you don’t like being in the photos, then I encourage you to do the same. You might be pleasantly surprised!

After nearly a year and a half (including a pregnancy, global pandemic and a now 8 month old baby) I finally have a new blog post up. The steps on how I made this doll’s bed are available at the link in my bio. I’m genuinely surprised that ice cream sticks can look that good 😂

Dollhouse (in progress) tour // It’s not finished, but it still looks better than my own home 😂

I intended to make a doll’s house as a midyear birthday present, but never got around to it. Instead we ended up buying this gorgeous house from @tinydollhouse_za for Christmas and then I’ve DIY’d most of the inside.

I’ll be sharing tutorials on the blog soon for the bed, couch, fridge, sink, oven, shelf, wallpaper and maybe the mini rainbow so stay tuned. EVERYTHING is removable which makes redecorating extra easy!

Swipe through to see how the full house is set up for play at the moment. The bathroom is still basically empty, apart from a dummy sterilizer tub as a bath 😂, but I’m a little in love with the kitchen ❤️

FIVE MONTHS // The little guy officially made it to 5 months a week and a half ago. While this photo was taken on time, I just haven’t gotten around to posting it.
I can’t quite believe it’s almost time for solids. Time is really going quickly!
You’re so close to rolling onto your tummy, love talking (loud enough so daddy’s colleagues can hear you on the phone from across the house) and are so adored by your big sister.
My boy, we love you, but we also like sleep and wouldn’t mind having a little more of that 😉

FOUR MONTHS // It feels like it’s gone both real

FOUR MONTHS // It feels like it’s gone both really quickly and really slowly. A third of a year! This month you’ve found your voice much more and sit cooing away to yourself, until it’s too much and you get upset. Your sister loves copying you and talking back too. Your smile is adorable and relatively freely given.
Still wondering how old he’ll be when some people meet him. People we’d normally see every week at church may well see him for the first time when he’s already crawling. Crazy!
Also, shoutout to @michaeljtalbot for being the monthly arms! 💛
