Over the weekend I was invited to explore the beautiful Mosaic Private Sanctuary as part of the launch of Rain‘s new perfume range. Rain is a South African founded beauty product company. Although their products smell amazing and leave you feeling gorgeous, the thing I appreciate most is that their purpose for starting was to create employment and give people hope. In a country where we are confronted by unemployment and poverty on a daily basis, this is something that sits very close to my heart.
Rain prides itself on producing natural, environmentally friendly products. Indigenous African plants are harvested by local women form the wild. It was fascinating to learn about the process of producing a natural perfume and how the scents may change seasonally as the conditions that the plants grow in change.
The new perfume range by Rain includes Nectar, Leaf and Twig. Something for everyone.
Mosaic Private Sanctuary itself was a wonderful place to be. It is situated about 2 hours from Cape Town in the small town of Stanford. The 5 rooms of the 5-star Lagoon Lodge are nestled underneath magnificent milkwood trees and are pure botanical luxury.
A stay at the lodge includes flower safaris, quad biking, boat cruises along the lagoon, kayaking, whale watching, beach outings and delicious food (the Amarula hot chocolate is AMAZING).
Mosaic also boasts its very own Rain Spa where you can sit back and get pampered.
