What if I told you that I’ve found the healthy alternative to ice cream for a refreshing snack on a hot day? And what if I told you that it was ALSO toddler friendly? Friends for life, am I right? I am genuinely impressed with these little frozen fruit and yoghurt pops. They’re healthy, they don’t drip like an ice lollie would (thanks to the the thickness of the yoghurt and fruit mixture), they have a super creamy texture and they’re tasty. Sounds like a winning combination.
Using a Baby Bullet means they’re really easy to make. As I’ve said before the Baby Bullet is really well designed and comes with all the extra little bits that you need. The sneaky little silicone tray works perfectly as the frozen pop mold too. All you need to add is the sticks. The best part? I’m giving one away! See more details below.
Frozen yoghurt and fruit pops
What you need:
For 4 frozen pops:
4 heaped spoons double thick plain yoghurt
1 large banana
Raspberries or strawberries*
Blueberries*
Blender
Silicone pop mold
Wooden popsicle sticks
What to do:
Blend the banana and yoghurt together. Spoon a little into each empty mold.
Add a few raspberries to the mix and blend again. Gently spoon a little more into each mold.
Add some blueberries to the mix and spoon the remaining mix into the molds.
Place a stick into each pop and put the tray into the freezer. If your mixture isn’t thick enough to hold the stick up, let it set for about 30 minutes in the freezer before adding the sticks.
*Note: Any fruit flavours would do, just remember to start by adding the lightest colour fruit to the mixture first. This allows you to create the stripy ombre effect without having to wash any extra bowls.
